Review by Mitch Adams

Tune Up, the legendary jazz album by Miles Davis and Stan Getz, is a timeless masterpiece that showcases the unparalleled talent of these two iconic musicians. Released in 1953, the album features a collection of classic jazz standards, including the title track "Tune Up," "Conception," and "My Funny Valentine."

The album kicks off with the upbeat and energetic "Tune Up," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The interplay between Davis and Getz is nothing short of magical, with each musician complementing the other's playing perfectly. The album also features some beautiful ballads, such as "It Never Entered My Mind" and "I'll Remember April," which showcase the more mellow and contemplative side of the duo's sound.

One of the standout tracks on Tune Up is "Blues By Five," a bluesy number that features some incredible solos from both Davis and Getz. The track is a perfect example of the kind of musical chemistry that these two musicians had, as they effortlessly trade solos and build upon each other's ideas.
