Radiation, the ninth studio album by British progressive rock band Marillion, was released in 1998. The album features a darker and more experimental sound than their previous works, with themes of isolation and loss.

The opening track, "Costa del Slough," sets the tone for the album with its haunting melody and lyrics about the destruction of nature. The following track, "Under the Sun," is a standout with its driving rhythm and emotional vocals from lead singer Steve Hogarth.

Other notable tracks include the atmospheric "Three Minute Boy" and the epic "Cathedral Wall," which features intricate guitar work and a powerful chorus.

@penelopeat8pm Sorry P, there was nothing spontaneous or "organic' about the Grunge scene, it was a developed and cultivated scene. Mother Love Bone was the general impetus of the hippie/drug wannabe 60's esque grunge thing, and at the time, there were 3 bands in the Seattle Area doing the downtrodden, oversimplified music thing, MLB was the one to get noticed. Kurt Cobain was still playing Hair metal when Andy overdosed for the first time, and Eddie Vedder wa a VJ in training at MtV
