Leviathan's self-titled album, Leviathan, is an intense and captivating journey through the depths of black metal. With a mix of atmospheric and aggressive tracks, the album showcases the band's versatility and ability to create a haunting atmosphere.

The album opens with the atmospheric track "Intro," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The haunting melody and eerie sounds create a sense of foreboding, leading into the first full track, "The Smoke of Their Torment." The aggressive guitar riffs and harsh vocals create a sense of chaos and desperation, setting the stage for the rest of the album.

Throughout the album, Leviathan explores various themes and emotions, from the despairing "The Idiot Sun" to the hauntingly beautiful "The Bitter Emblem of Dissolve." 6:17 - pointless-but-interesting historical note: That same sound effect of kids in a playground ("Wait for me!) was also used on the Stranglers' second LP "No More Heroes" (UK 1977). It can be heard as an intro to the very disturbing final track "school mam".

One of the most underrated albums of the 70’s.
Was promoted poorly. Didn’t sell well.
The true sad tale of an incredible band that was misrepresented.
One of my personal favorites. Great all the way through.
People have short attention spans, and unfortunately for many bands of that age, suffered short lives due to that ever ongoing fact.
Truly great music, and thanks for the upload.
I listen to it regularly = a lot.

Are there 2 females in the band , or does the dark haired figure second from the left just built rather feminine ? I assume by the hair style and face the short figure in the white sweater to be female , although with that ectomorph frame it's hard to tell
